Product Creation

We use the general term 'product' because everything you can offer as a winery lives in this section. If you’re selling shirts, bottles, gift cards, or club pre-pays, adding them as products will display and track them online and on your POS in a tasting room or store.

Adding a Product

Depending on the type of product you create, you’ll see different options for customizing details. The next steps cover the basic process of adding any product, and duplicating products. You can find more information about specific product types or getting the most out of your listings in Advanced Product Creation.

  1. From the Admin Panel, click Store > Products > Products. Click the +.
  2. Add an accurate name, as well as an abbreviated POS name then select the Product Type.
  3. Add the full product description and a teaser to draw customers to the product’s page.
  4. Select a brand to help organize your sales and reports, and pick a department for the product.
  5. Enter the product’s SKU, Unit Description, Weight, Retail Price, Sale Price, and select any exemptions that might apply.
    If you're adding a bottle of wine, use Wine Attributes to add the bottle size and important details about your product.
  6. Upload an image of your product.
  7. Choose where to make your product available for purchase.
  8. Click Save.

Your product has been saved to your winery! Now that you’ve got a saved product, you can customize or expand the details, or create a group and set to package items together.

Duplicating a Product

To save time while adding your catalogue, you can duplicate any item that was previously saved.

  1. From the Products page, click on the item that you want to duplicate. Click the Duplicate Product icon.
  2. Once your copy has loaded, you’ll need to update the unique General details of the item including the name, POS name, the Search Engine Optimization, as well as the SKU under SKUs & Pricing.
  3. Click Save.
