While states may allow alcohol shipments, they may contain zip codes that do not allow the direct shipment of alcohol. These zip codes are referred to as “dry” zip codes. If your consumer lives in one of these dry zip code areas, shipments may be sent to a neighboring zip code as an alternate delivery address.
WineDirect maintains a database of dry and undeliverable Dry Zip Codes. Orders are validated against the database to prevent illegal shipments in:
- Alaska
- Florida
- Kentucky
- New Hampshire
- Vermont
If WineDirect finds a match to the database, the order will be rejected and be viewable on the WineDirect Portal for your resolution. In most cases, consumers have alternate addresses (work) for deliveries.
