Using Customization

Customizations are dynamic values added to an Email Campaign template that will automatically populate personalized information to the recipient based on what is saved in their customer profile.

To utilize the customization feature within WineDirect Email Campaigns, Handlebar Syntax must be added to a Dynamic Template. A Handlebar is a value with two curly brackets on either end. An example of this would be {{first_name}}

IMPORTANT NOTE: If the Handlebar includes multiple words, an underscore must be used in between each word.

Any customization that is added to a Dynamic Template must be a static value point found in a customer's profile such as first name, last name, or email.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Date of Birth and any other value selected via a dropdown menu in a customer's profile cannot be used as a customization.
