Inventory Settings

If you sell products in several places, you can create multiple locations within the Inventory Settings of the WineDirect Dashboard. These locations will enable managing a product's inventory in multiple places.

To get to the Inventory Settings: Login to WineDirect > Settings > Inventory Settings.

Adding Locations

By clicking the ADD LOCATION at the top right of the Inventory Locations Lists, a new window will open to enter. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Currently, Lattitude and Longitude are required fields. To find your exact coordinates, enter the address or general location HERE.

Inventory Pools

Inventory Pools are used to put specific products within a location's inventory for easier categorization and analytics.

To add a product to an inventory pool, go to Products > Add Products/Product Settings > Inventory > Stock Settings.

Once Stock Settings has been selected, it will be possible to update the following fields: 

  • Stock: This is the total amount of this product that you have to sell at this location/Inventory Pool
  • Safety Stock: This is the amount of product that will be set aside in case orders over exceed the stock (i.e., If there are 150 total stock and 25 safety stock, only 125 will be available to sell)
  • Low Stock Alert: This is the stock level when Store Admins will be notified of low inventory

IMPORTANT NOTE: Available to Sell is automatically generated and is not able to be manually updated.
