To continually build customer relationships, WineDirect has made it simple to create new customers or attach an existing customer to orders from the POS. From this customer database, users can see important analytics, contact and delivery information, and any relevant notifications/tasks/notes related to that customer.

Customer List

By clicking on the customer icon at the bottom utility bar on the POS, you will be taken to your customer list. Users can short press on an existing customer to attach their profile to the purchase or swipe a customer name to the left to view their profile or add them to the cart.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When using the search bar, results will begin to show after three characters are added.

Adding New Customers

By pressing the pink avatar to the right of the search bar in the customer list, a new window will be added where a new customer's basic information can be added. Once saved, a new customer profile will be saved in the application and the WineDirect admin page. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: To add or edit customer details other than addresses and the general information added in the application, this must be done in the main WineDirect admin account.

Long-Pressing to View Detailed Customer Profile

Like the product list, users can long click (pressing down on a customer's name for 1-2 seconds) for a new window to open. This new window will give detailed information on the customer that is pulled directly from the WIneDirect admin account. 

Pressing the pencil and paper icon at the top right allows editing the customer's general information, such as name, email, and date of birth.

By pressing the shopping cart icon at the top right of the window, the customer will be added to the shopping cart as the profile associated with the purchase.


The customer details page showcases sales analytics for the customer and gives easy access to key details of the customer's profile by short-pressing the different tiles. The available viewable attributes are wine club membership status, address book, wallet, relationships, and important dates.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Only addresses can be edited and added within the application. All other attributes must be edited with the main WineDirect admin account.

Adding and Editing Addresses

Pressing the Addresses icon will open a new window listing all addresses saved to the customer's profile. If only one address is saved, it will be automatically set as the default for shipping and billing.

To add a new address, press the pink icon at the top right of the window. 

Once all the required information is filled in, the user can set the new address by pressing 'Set as default' at the top right of the window before pressing 'Save.'

IMPORTANT NOTE: To add a new address, the date of birth must be confirmed to be over 21 years of age.

Notifications, Notes, and Tasks

The Notifications tab will display expired credit cards, highlighted notes, and tasks close to or past due. The user will be directed to the corresponding tab if a notification is pressed.

A user can add and designate notes as highlighted in the Notes tab. The notes are displayed in a priority, showing highlighted notes first and all others in chronological order. If a note is pressed on, it can be edited, remove the highlight status or be deleted.

The Task tab showcases the list of tasks created in the customer's profile in the main WineDirect admin account. The display will show upcoming tasks first and who it is assigned to. Then, it will show completed tasks with a strike-through at the bottom of the list.
