Selecting the ellipsis (...) at the top right of the point of sale app home screen and pressing settings, a new window will open, providing users with various capabilities.

The banner at the top of this new window indicates which storefront the application is logged into.

Other than the main cards, at the bottom of the window, the Wi-Fi connection will be confirmed, Offline Mode can be enabled, the current downloaded version of the app will be shown, and a user can log out of the application.

POS Profile Card

When the POS profile card is tapped, a new window lists all active POS profiles saved in the main WineDirect account. Tapping on any POS profile tiles will change the application's profile. Whichever profile is greyed out and has the 'Active Profile' icon at the top right corner is the profile currently being used in the application.

IMPORTANT NOTE: POS profile changes are cached and will stay the same until changed again, even after signing out of the application.

Receipt Printer Card

When the receipt printer card is pressed, a new window will open that will allow for the discovery of a new receipt printer if not already connected. To connect to a device, press the Printer discovery button at the bottom of the window.

Star Hardware are the supported devices for the application. These are the same devices that are compatible with Classic WineDirect.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If a Star Hardware device is unable to be found, follow the troubleshooting steps in the picture above before calling WineDirect (800-819-0325)

App Version Update Card

When pressed, the App Version Update card searches and forces minor updates to the application. If a minor update is available, it will be installed at the next log-out. If no update is available, a notification will appear saying so.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Major app version updates cannot be done in the settings window. Regularly check the Apple App Store for major updates, or set the iPad to update applications automatically.
