What are POS PINs?

POS PINs help your tasting room staff login to your POS quickly. They also ensure orders will connect to the correct Sales Associate serving that customer. If you wish to track tips and sales per associate POS PINs is the way to go. 

Activating POS PINs will ensure that your sales associates always place orders under their profile. 

IMPORTANT!!! The name of the admin panel (winery name) cannot have any special characters as this affects the ability to use POS Pins.


What you need to know before enabling POS PINs

  • When POS PINs are active, every time an order is placed, the POS will sign out and the sales associate will have to sign back in.
  • Be sure that all your Sales Associates have usernames, passwords created in their user account. (Settings > Users). 
  • Once POS PINs are enabled, the next time a staff member logs in to the POS using their Username, Password, they will be prompted to create a PIN. 
  • As a best practice, we recommend that POS PINS be a simple 4 digit code. Some wineries find it useful to use the last 4 digits of each Sales Associate's phone number - That way, they never forget!
