Article Summary

I can't find a CSS style that I want to change.

Many base WineDirect styles are brought in separately from your own stylesheets and cannot be edited directly. You can, however, add the css that you want to change in your own stylesheet and they will override the defaults.

I can't log into the FTP.

When logging into the FTP account, there are certain settings that should be checked to avoid any connection issues.

SFTP Connection settings:

  • SFTP Mode must be set to active, not passive.
  • Server URL (base2) = sftp.uswest.WineDirect.com for sites in US.
  • Server URL (base3) = sftp2.uswest.WineDirect.com for sites in US.

  • Server URL = sftp.aus.WineDirect.com for sites in AUS.
  • Username and password are what you setup in the admin panel.

My CSS changes aren't taking effect.

Make sure that you don't have any other styles in your css that are overriding your new styles. If you only have one stylesheet, you can search it to see if you have any duplicates throughout. If you have more than one stylesheet, make sure that the current stylesheet is being brought into your html files underneath any other stylesheets to ensure that they will override any previously specified styles.

My HTML changes aren't taking effect.

In order to be read and used by the system, all HTML files must be parsed in the Admin Panel under Settings > Designer Launch

How do I access/change my stylesheets?

In order to access/change your CSS style sheets you must have developer access and an FTP account setup. When you are in your FTP you can use our site structure documentation as a reference to navigate to the css folder in assets.

I can't access the layouts folder in the FTP

The layouts folder cannot be accessed by any designers outside of WineDirect; the layouts folder is for system use and where your parsed template files are kept. In order to make changes to the page templates, you are going to want to edit the files in the v65html folder
