Setup
1. Contact Gliding Eagle to signup and register for an account.

2. Email support@winedirect.com when you have a registered Gliding Eagle account to have the features enabled.
3. Adjust your shipping strategy for Gliding Eagle.
- Add Shipping Zone(s) for the Chinese provinces
- Add the Shipping Type with the correct code. See Shipping Type Codes >
Placing A Gliding Eagle Order
1. Add your items to your POS cart.
2. Click Shipping.
3. Select if the order is being shipped to the customer's billing address information or an alternate shipping address.
4. Select China from the Country drop-down.
5. The address field text will now appear in English and Mandarin. Click the Globe icon on the keyboard to enable the iPad's Chinese Keyboard. Have the customer or tasting room staff member enter the correct address information. Click Apply.
6. Select the Gliding Eagle shipping type.
7. Complete the order by checking out as you would with any other POS order.

Will this program work for wineries in the USA, Canada, Australia, etc.?
This program is for wineries in the USA only. Any winery from the USA can use this program but it is up to the winery to get the package to Gliding Eagle at the cost of the winery.
What are the shipping rates?
The rates that you are charged for shipping will be handled directly with Gliding Eagle. For more information on the rates please contact Gliding Eagle:

Are the shipping rates integrated into WineDirect?
No. Gliding Eagle will charge the winery set rates for shipping the wines. Shipping price is dependent on the selling price of the wine and the full service price is inclusive of duties & taxes. It is up to the winery to determine what they will charge their customers for shipping.
WineDirect suggests using a flat rate shipping. For example if it is $25 dollars for the first 6 bottles then have your ranges list 1-6 bottles = $25. If a customer does not have to pay more for shipping additional bottles they are more likely to increase the number of bottles they purchase.
Can I place Gliding Eagle shipping orders on the website, admin panel, and POS?
Gliding Eagle orders can only be placed on the POS at launch. Additional channels may come in future.
Is there a bottle minimum?
No. There is no bottle minimum; you can ship 1 bottle if you'd like. This would not affect any minimum fee Gliding Eagle may have in their rates.
How do I get my orders to Gliding Eagle?
Depends where you are located. Gliding Eagle will be notified automatically as soon as you place an Order to be shipped to China. If you are located in the Napa/Sonoma area, a courier for Gliding Eagle will pick up your orders. If you are outside of the pickup area, you can ship your wine to the Gliding Eagle fulfillment facility for processing. Regardless of your location, if you have wines stored at Wine Direct, you can also have a Gliding Eagle courier to pick up wines there via Will Call.
