Standard Layout Types

Websites on the WineDirect platform are built around layouts. Twelve different layout types are used on every site, and you must assign an HTML file to each. You can assign one HTML file to multiple layout types or use an individual HTML file for each. Files are selected for each layout type through parsing.

Layout Types

Once an HTML template file is applied to one of the layouts below, it will automatically be used on the pages specified.

Homepage

Generally, the homepage has a different layout than the rest of the content pages. Usually, including a feature image and content sections that help direct visitors to the site to the appropriate places.

Main

This is the default layout used on pages that don't fall under the categories below. Generally, this page includes sub-navigation.

Cart - Legacy

This is used on the cart page. This layout should be wide and not have a left or secondary nav; generally, the same layout is used on the Checkout.

Checkout - Legacy

This is used on the checkout page. This layout should be wide and not have a left or secondary nav; generally, the same layout is used on the Cart.


Member

This layout is used on all member's pages. It must include a submenu for navigating between member tools.


Club - Legacy

This layout is used on the club sign-up page and should be wider.
Product

This layout is used on all product pages and usually includes a sub-navigation.

Blog

This page is applied to the blog and generally has a unique layout so that WineDirect blog tags can be used for navigational items such as Blog Categories and Blog Archives.


Product Drilldown

This layout is used on the details page of all products. It is generally wide, and its product tags can be customized to fit the winery's needs.


Print - Legacy

This is the layout used for the product receipt at the end of the Checkout. It should be a simple layout, including a header and the winery address.


 

You can test your print layout by adding something to your Cart and clicking Checkout.
At which point you change the URL in your browser bar to be:

https://www.yourdomain.com/index.cfm?method=checkout.receipt

Then click the Print Receipt button.


Event Drilldown

The event drill-down template is applied to the event details page. The main template layout can be used for this.


Recipe Drilldown

The event drill-down template is applied to the recipe details page. The main template layout can be used for this.

If you need to customize a single page, you also can make a custom layout.
