Below are some details on some of the attributes to help you with entering the right information.

Marketplace Inventory

There are two ways to manage inventory for Marketplace. Marketplace orders can connect to your Default pool or a unique Marketplace pool that acts like an allocation. The system will reduce the pool in both situations based on order quantities. 

For self-fulfillers (regardless of what pool is chosen) and WineDirect fulfillers that chose the Marketplace pool, inventory on products is required. This allows partners to understand how much product is offered and available through Marketplace. In these situations, wines without inventory will fail the product sync and not be made available to partners until it is correct. 

If the Marketplace pool is selected, your account will be set up to automatically show a pool called the 'WineDirect Marketplace' inventory pool, as shown below. This pool will be located in the same location as your other pools. 

If an inventory pool is used and goes to '0,' the product will be unavailable to the partners until the inventory is increased again. If you use the 'WineDirect Marketplace' pool, an alert will be displayed on your WineDirect Dashboard that will notify you of Marketplace products that have reached '0'. 

WineDirect Fulfillment clients

Default Pool Users 

For wineries that will allow the wine to be sold directly from their primary Fulfillment account, Product inventory is not required to be activated in Ecommerce.

Marketplace will automatically pull inventory data from Fulfillment and show that as the quantity to show partners. 

Multiple Brands in a Box 

We are pleased to offer a new feature for all WineDirect fulfillment clients participating in Marketplace. Orders can be placed from multiple wineries in a single order!

Marketplace orders will be fulfilled through a unique WineDirect Fulfillment account to do this. This processing happens automatically and requires no action on your part. Additionally, your winery will not be invoiced for the shipping charges on these orders.

The Program also cross-references your products to a WD Marketplace sub-inventory that you will see in the WineDirect Fulfillment Portal. For Default pool users, inventory will only move to the sub-inventory when orders are placed. For Marketplace pool users, the sub-inventory will align with the inventory amount you designated in E-commerce. As orders are processed, inventory is decremented in both locations automatically. No action is needed on your part.

Since the Marketplace fulfills the order through the individual account, your winery's order flow will change to prevent double orders. The Program prevents Fulfillment through the winey account for direct integrations between E-commerce and Fulfillment. Then, the order is automatically updated with details such as tracking, ship date, and status.

For ShipCompliant clients, the prevention will happen by sending the order to ShipCompliant with the status of 'In Process' so that they are not part of automatic Fulfillment or manual releases to your WineDirect Fulfillment Primary account. Orders will have a prefix of VIN65API so they are easily identified. Marketplace will then update ShipComplaint with all the required order information so your reporting doesn't miss a beat. Compliance checks are not affected. It is important to understand that you should not release these orders. No action is needed on your part. 

Wine Types

For a wine to be successfully on Marketplace, one of the following options has to be used for wine type. However, there is some intelligence that allows for some wine types that do not match exactly to be excepted. An example would be if you have 'Red' instead of 'Red Wine.'
